Welcome to the Liu Group

We are a research group in the Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida, led by Prof. Wenqi "Vince" Liu. Our work centers on supramolecular chemistry, with a focus on the design and synthesis of molecular containers that can recognize, respond to, and manipulate chemical substrates in water with high precision.

We aim to address fundamental questions in host–guest chemistry while developing functional materials for applications in sensing, catalysis, separations, and molecular medicine. Our group welcomes curious and driven scientists who are excited to explore chemistry at the interface of molecular recognition and material function.
